Adult Protective Services
Adult Protective Services
The Adult Protective Services (APS) program was established to investigate reports and provide intervention and protection to vulnerable adults who are victims of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
If there is reason to believe an adult is endangered, the APS will investigate the complaint and determine if the cause needs investigated by law enforcement or another agency. To be eligible for services, an individual must meet the following requirements:
- Be an Indiana resident
- 18 years of age or older
- Physically or mentally incapacitated
- Reported as abused, neglected or exploited
